"Starting with the 2024-25 school year, student transportation for all athletic events will be one-way only, meaning district busses will only be taking athletes to the competition sites. Parents/families will be responsible for ensuring that their athletes are picked up from the competition sites. Please contact Athletic Director Scott Schreiner with any questions or concerns."

IMPORTANT 7th & 8th Grade Football Information

Good afternoon, Bruin Families!

As promised last week, I'm writing to share some important updates about our football program. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we've worked through these recent changes.

First, I want to let you know that Bryan Davis will no longer be serving as our Head Football Coach. I received this news late last week, which is why we had to make the difficult decision to cancel this week's summer workouts on short notice. I know this caused some inconvenience, and I truly appreciate your flexibility.

While this change was unexpected, I'm incredibly excited about the future of our program. It led us to hire a new Head Coach—someone I'm thrilled to introduce to you now.

As of yesterday, Paddy Turner is officially the new Head Coach of the Blevins Football program! Paddy is a longtime football player who recently graduated from CSU, where he played Division 1 football and served as a team captain. He brings great energy, deep knowledge of the game, and a strong desire to invest in our student-athletes and community. Below is a brief introduction from Coach Paddy himself:

"Hi All,

My name is Paddy Turner, and I am thrilled to be the next Head Football Coach for the Bruins this upcoming season! Prior to this role, I was a Division 1 football player and team captain at Colorado State. I'm very excited to share my experiences, knowledge, and passion with our athletes—and to bring fun, energy, and success to Blevins this fall.

Our optional summer workouts will begin Monday, July 28th at 3:00 PM sharp on the Blevins football field. Athletes are encouraged to arrive early and be ready for our team warm-up and call-up. Practices will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00 PM until further notice. Please have athletes bring athletic shorts, cleats or sneakers, and—most importantly—their own water bottles if possible.

Parents/guardians are welcome to stay and watch practices if they'd like—I'd love to meet you! I look forward to a great season ahead.

Go Bruins!"

Coach Paddy is still in the process of receiving his district email, so for now, please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions or concerns using the contact information below.

Thank you again for your support—we're looking forward to a great season!

Warm regards,
Scott Schreiner
