Inspire Every One, Every Day

Art Department

Art classes at Blevins Middle School are set-up in sequential order with students starting in Art Activity & Appreciation in 6th Grade and then moving to Art I, Art II, Jewelry and/or Pottery/Sculpture in 7th & 8th Grades. Each class builds on the previous class' curriculum while adhering to the Colorado Academic Standards for Visual Arts. Students also learn about Art History and the development of the art form they are learning about in class. During the second semester, 8th grade students have the chance to meet teachers from our feeder high school, Rocky Mountain, and learn about the visual art opportunities that are available to them at the high school level.
