Hello Bruins Families,
Welcome to a new school year at Blevins! I’m incredibly excited and grateful to continue serving as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director of this amazing community. After over 20 years in education—teaching middle school Social Studies in both Colorado and California—I still genuinely love working with this age group. Middle schoolers are full of energy, curiosity, and yes, a little chaos—and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
While I’ll always be a teacher at heart, transitioning into school leadership has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my career. I’m especially grateful to be doing this work here in Colorado, where my family and I are thrilled to call home after 13 wonderful years in Southern California.
I grew up in Grand Junction and started my teaching journey there after graduating from the University of Wyoming. In 2009, I moved to Long Beach, California, where I met my wife, Carrie. We have two daughters - both PSD students - who keep us busy with park adventures, bike rides, and playground explorations. When I’m not at school, you’ll likely find me gardening, cooking, fishing, or cruising around in my old Jeep.
It’s an honor to be part of the Blevins community. I’m excited for the year ahead and look forward to supporting our students, staff, and families as we learn and grow together.
