Welcome Back, Blevins Families!
We hope everyone had a wonderful summer and is settling into a great new school year! The Blevins PTO is excited for another year of supporting our students, teachers, and staff — and we’d love to have more Blevins families involved.
Whether you can attend meetings, volunteer at an event, help with fundraising, or simply stay informed, every bit of involvement makes a difference.
Looking Back: Your PTO Dollars at Work
Last year, Blevins PTO raised approximately $12,500, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, attended events, and helped make that possible!
Those funds went directly back into our school to support teachers, staff, and students. Some of the ways PTO was able to make an impact included:
- Supporting teacher and staff appreciation events
- Providing classroom supplies and student resources
- Purchasing new musical instruments for our band programs
- Supporting Multimedia Productions, including video, podcasting, yearbook, and social media opportunities
- Providing math supplies and calculators for students
- Supporting reading resources for students developing foundational reading skills
- Funding PBL and art projects that give students creative opportunities
- Helping with school beautification projects, including student-centered projects around the Blevins campus
We are proud that the money raised by our Blevins community goes right back into the school and directly supports the students and staff who make Blevins such a special place.
Thank you to everyone who helped make last year’s fundraising a success!
All are welcome - Next PTO Meeting Tuesday, Aug 18th 5:30-7pm Blevins Collaboration Cafe.

Bruin Club
Blevins Middle School is excited to offer our after-school program, Bruin Club, starting Monday, September 14, 2026! This after-school program, which is funded through the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) grant, Cohort X, offers students homework help, enrichment clubs, and community connection opportunities, while giving them a safe place to build relationships with other students. Bruin Club is a drop-in based program and will be held from 2:25pm to 5:00pm, Monday through Thursday. The fall session runs 09/14/2026 - 12/17/2026 with no programs operating on 10/13/26, 10/15/26, and 11/17/26. An email will be sent out in early September once we have finalized our enrichment offerings.
To Participate: All students must have a completed and approved 2026-2027 “Permission to Participate” form on file before attending Bruin Club.
Permission to Participate Form: The permission to participate form will be available to students in the front office. You can also download the form and print or fill it out virtually and email it to Izzy Crume at icrume@psdschools.org. Printed versions of the form can be brought to the front office at Blevins. Note: if you have multiple students at Blevins, please fill out a separate form for each student.
Transportation: If your student needs to ride the bus home from Bruin Club during our fall session, you are required to submit the “Permission to Participate” form to Izzy Crume OR the school office by Friday, 08/28/2026 by 2:25pm. Note: Bussing is not guaranteed, but if available, bussing will pick students up from Blevins at 4:45pm. Transportation start date is to be determined.
Interested in Odyssey of the Minds: Odyssey is a creative problem-solving program for students in Kindergarten through College where teams of up to seven members learn to think outside the box, work together to develop creative solutions to broadly defined problems, and present their solution in an eight-minute performance.
Through this program, students practice 21st-century skills they need to succeed today and in the future. They learn to think and work creatively, apply innovative approaches, communicate clearly and effectively, and collaborate respectfully with others. To learn more about Odyssey of the Minds at Blevins, join us for a family information night on Wednesday, August 26th, from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm in the Media Center.
Questions: If you have any questions regarding Bruin Club, please contact Izzy Crume at (970)657-6612 or icrume@psdschools.org.
7th & 8th Grade Opportunity to Travel to Boston/NYC
7th and 8th grade families! On September 15th 5:00-6:00 pm in the Blevins Media Center come learn about an ncredible opportunity to travel to Boston/NYC (and get to know the teachers leading your student's tour!). We're excited to tell you more about the trip we're planning with EF Explore America, our educational partner. Please REGISTER HERE for our info session to be considered for our upcoming travel opportunity.
In our session, we'll cover everything from how this will benefit your child, what's included in the experience, how we'll keep the trip safe and affordable, and much more. Plus, if we haven't met yet, it's a good chance to learn more about me as both an educator and a Group Leader.
Registration for this session is mandatory to help organize our meeting, and a parent or guardian must attend. Can't make it? Choose "No, but send info" so you don't miss out.

2026-2027 Blevins Yearbook
While May seems so far away, the Yearbook purchase deadline will creep up faster than you think! Now is the best time to pre-order your yearbook for three reasons:
- You are guaranteed a yearbook! We don’t order enough for every student, so ordering in advance guarantees your student will receive one.
- You can get FREE icons to customize your student’s book. Add music notes, a football, or other symbols to reflect their unique interests with the code YBKICONS at checkout when personalization is purchased
- The yearbook is CHEAPER! After winter break, the cost of the Yearbook will go up! Order your yearbook now and avoid the price increase later in the year.
We appreciate your support of yearbook as students create the entire book start to finish. We can’t wait to share this year’s work with you!
