6th grade social studies classes (Ms. Rajnowski’s 3rd and 5th period and Mr. Bourland’s 4th period) will be taking a field trip to the Museo de las Tres Colonias on November 12th from 9:00-12:15pm. They will be using what they learn at the Museo for their unit project to answer the question “How did we change the West?”. The Museo features primary sources related to migrant workers who came to Fort Collins in the early 1900s to establish a permanent labor force for the sugar beet industry in the northern region of town.
