About Me

Hello Blevins families my name is Dennise Dominguez (Borunda). I am thrilled to be an official Bruin as one of your Assistant Principals for this school year. I have been in this role in our district for a few elementary schools (Beattie, Harris, and Laurel) for about 8 years. Prior to coming to Colorado, I worked in a middle school setting as a Reading Specialist teacher and then as instructional coach in Texas. Last March, I began my journey at Blevins, and I am so excited to continue this school year. I received my training and schooling at the University of Texas at El Paso for both my bachelors and master’s degree for education. I have a passion for what I do, especially working with children, staff, and families. My work in education has brought me to an amazing 23-year milestone. I can’t wait to see how many more years I can continue to work and continue my passion for inspiring and co-leading in the schools.

Beyond my work, I enjoy past times like strength training and swimming at the gym in the early morning, riding dirt bikes while on vacation, fishing, and camping. Yes, I do occasionally Bing watch K drama and listening to Latin music, it’s not all sports. Don’t be surprised to see me dance in the moment in our hallways when the tunes are right. I also like to think I have a good sense of humor with a big heart. I am a parent as well and as a mother I have been blessed with two amazing children who are products of our PSD school district. Trinidad and Kai. I enjoy my time with them as well as my work for our district. I look forward with working with you and being part of the mighty Bruin Bears! Welcome to Bear country where hugs are always welcome!
